What moving services do you offer?

We offer private moves, corporate moves, estate clearing, general decluttering/clearing, heavy item moves, piano moves, moving-out cleaning, packing services, disposal services. We also transport unwanted trash to recycling centers.

Do you have a professional traffic permit?

Yes, we at Alfa Flytt & Städ have a professional traffic permit. If you wish, you can check our organization number (559391-7171) on the Swedish Transport Agency's website.

What is and what does a professional traffic permit entail?

A professional traffic permit is an authorization issued by the swedish transport agency that shows a company is allowed to operate and is approved for commercial traffic. In our case, it applies to permits for commercial goods transport, which refers to the transportation of goods.

How do I know how many cubic meters I have?

We have a cubic meter calculator on our website.

Can we store our furniture with you?

No.

Packing

Can I pack my own luggage?

Absolutely. You can pack yourself or get help from us.

Can I pack my own luggage?

Absolutely, if we do the packing for you, you will receive a packing list as standard.

How do I pack glasses & crockery?

The best and most common way is to wrap fragile items such as glass and porcelain in so-called tissue paper.

What about the packing of paintings?

Smaller paintings are packed in a moving box that is left open. larger paintings can be left alone and they will be packed by our staff NOTE. Expensive paintings should be packed properly, either by you us. If this is not done, we do not take responsibility for any damage.

Do you offer moving boxes in connection with moving?

Yes, we have plastic moving boxes different size: 27L, 40L, 55L, 60L.

Do you protect the furniture or do I?

It is our responsibility to protect the furniture throughout transportation. Everything is wrapped on the truck. sensitive/fragile/expensive items must be packed for export.

How much can I pack in a moving box?

Until it becomes full, but no more than 18 kg.

How many moving boxes are needed?

Expect about one plastic moving box per square meter you are moving. If you choose to move with us, we can offer strong & water-resistant plastic moving boxes for your move.

How do I pack plants & flowers?

Smaller ones in a moving box that is left open. Large plants can be left standing and we will put them loose on our truck during transportation.

Should I dismantle furniture before moving?

This is not a must, but it makes the move as a whole easier if there are parts that take time or take up unnecessary space when assembled.

How should I think about packing my TV?

We are only responsible for the original packaging

What should I consider when it comes to moving boxes?

Use of the better quality our plastic moving boxes, Double well, single well is not to be recommended in case of damage can possibly in some cases not under our responsibility

How can I best protect my computer/screen?

In moving box if possible otherwise pack it.

Can you also pack the furniture for the move?

Yes.

Is there anything you need to know to make the move easier?

Floor, storage, elevator yes/no and loading-unloading distance very important. The more info the better move then we are prepared

What do we do with furniture that is sensitive to dirt, such as our bed?

Order the packing of these.

How should we think about parking on moving day?

Good if you prepare, if it is too far to walk, there may be an additional charge

Can you also help to drive / throw away rubbish?

Yes.

Can I cancel a move that is booked?

Yes 14 days before.

What happens if something is damaged during the move?

A claim is filed, then a claim is investigated

Rut deduction

Do I apply for RUT deduction or do you do it

We handle everything when it comes to RUT deductions and RUT incentives, you pay by route.

Can you get RUT deductions for moving?

Yes, you can use the Rut deduction when you move with a removal firm.

Is the price before or after RUT?

The price is after RUT!

Can we split the RUT deduction between two people?

Absolutely, let our customer service know and we will take care of the administration. Good to keep in mind is that at least one of the people for whom we apply for RUT deduction must be on the invoice, which must also be paid. Both persons must also be registered in the households between which the move takes place.

How does the RUT deduction work?

If you hire a company for so-called “routine work”, you can get a tax reduction for part of the cost of the work. NB. Only the labor cost entitles you to a box deduction and you can deduct a maximum of 50%. Materials and travel expenses in connection with the work do not entitle you to a deduction!

Moving-out cleaing

Do you offer moving-out cleaning services?

Yes, we offer moving-out / moving-in cleaning. Almost half of our customers also use us for cleaning.

Do you provide a guarantee on cleaning?

Yes, we offer a one-week guarantee on our removal cleaning services.

What is included in the moving-out cleaning ?

We take all the cleaning materials and stuff we need.
